About PDF Tools
Most online PDF services upload your document, process it on their servers and email you a link. That is a genuine privacy problem for contracts, bank statements, medical records and ID scans. These tools use pdf-lib and PDF.js running in the browser, so the document stays on your machine from start to finish.

Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF engine is JavaScript running inside your browser tab. Your file is read from disk into memory, edited, and written back out as a download. Nothing is transmitted.
Can you remove a password I do not know?
No, and no honest tool can. Removing PDF encryption requires the password. Our unlock tool asks you for the password to your own document and then saves a copy without the restriction.
Why is my compressed PDF only slightly smaller?
PDF size is usually dominated by embedded images and fonts. Our compressor rewrites page content with object streams and strips redundant metadata, which helps most with documents carrying heavy structure. A PDF that is one large scanned image is already close to its floor.
Is there a page or file size limit?
There is no server-side limit. In practice, documents up to about 100 MB work comfortably on a desktop browser; very large scanned PDFs may be slow on mobile devices.
