What is the difference between extracting and splitting?

Extracting pulls a chosen set of pages into one new document. Splitting divides the whole file into several documents. Use extract when you want one specific subset.

Can I change the order of the extracted pages?

Yes. Selecting pages in a different order, or typing the range as "5, 2, 9", produces them in that sequence.

Does the original file change?

Never. The file on your device is read only. Extraction builds a brand new PDF in memory and downloads that.

Are bookmarks and links carried over?

Page content, text and images come across intact. Links pointing to pages you did not extract cannot resolve and are dropped, since keeping them would produce broken navigation.
