Dead Pixel and Screen Test
Find dead or stuck pixels with full-screen colour tests.
What does Dead Pixel Test do?
Fill the screen with solid colours one at a time to reveal dead and stuck pixels, backlight bleed and uneven brightness. A dead pixel stays black on every colour; a stuck pixel stays one colour on every screen. Both are far easier to see against a flat field than against normal content.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a dead pixel and a stuck pixel?
A dead pixel receives no power and stays black on every colour, including a white screen. A stuck pixel is permanently lit in one colour — usually red, green or blue — and stays that colour even on a black screen. Stuck pixels sometimes recover; dead ones do not.
Can a stuck pixel be fixed?
Occasionally. Rapidly cycling colours over the area for twenty minutes or gentle pressure with a soft cloth while the screen is on sometimes unsticks the sub-pixel. Neither is guaranteed, and pressing hard can make it worse.
How many dead pixels does a warranty cover?
Most manufacturers follow the ISO 9241-307 class II standard, which tolerates a small number of defective pixels before a panel qualifies for replacement — often two to five, depending on type. Check the specific policy, since a single bright pixel is treated more seriously than a dark one.
Why does my screen look uneven on black?
That is backlight bleed or IPS glow, where light leaks around the edges of an LCD panel. It is normal to a degree on every LCD and is not a pixel fault. OLED screens do not show it because unlit pixels emit no light at all.
