Frequently Asked Questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They encode your data directly in the image, so there is no server involved and nothing to expire. Services that offer editable codes redirect through their own domain, which means the code stops working if they do.
Which error correction level should I use?
L (7%) for clean digital display, M (15%) as a general default, and H (30%) for printed codes that may get dirty, curved or partly covered by a logo. Higher levels make the pattern denser.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Choose the Wi-Fi type and enter your network name, password and security type. Scanning it joins the network without typing the password. Everything is encoded locally, so the password never leaves your device.
How small can a QR code be printed?
About 2 cm square for a short URL scanned from close range. As a rule of thumb, the code needs to be at least a tenth of the scanning distance, and always leave a clear quiet zone around it.
Everything is generated in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so results are private and the tool keeps working offline.
