Will FAQ schema give me rich results?

Probably not any more. Google restricted FAQ rich results in 2023 to well-known authoritative government and health sites. The markup is still valid and still helps search engines understand your page, but expect no visual change in results.

Must the FAQ be visible on the page?

Yes. Google requires the questions and answers in the markup to be visible to users. Marking up content hidden behind a tab is acceptable if it is reachable; content not on the page at all is a policy violation.

Can answers contain HTML?

A limited set — links, bold, italic, paragraphs and lists. The generator escapes it correctly for JSON. Anything else should be plain text.
