How do I simplify a ratio?
Divide every part by their greatest common divisor. 18:24:30 all divide by 6, giving 3:4:5.
How do I convert a ratio to a percentage?
Add the parts to get the whole, then divide each part by that total. For 3:2, the total is 5, so the split is 60% and 40%.
How do I solve a proportion?
Cross-multiply. For 3:4 = 9:x, multiply 4 × 9 and divide by 3 to get x = 12. The solver mode does this for whichever value you leave blank.
How do I scale a recipe?
