Frequently Asked Questions

What keyword density should I aim for?

There is no target, and chasing one is a mistake. Modern search engines use semantic understanding, not term counting. If a keyword appears at 5% or more it usually reads badly, which is the real problem.

Is keyword stuffing still penalised?

Yes. Google’s spam policies explicitly name it, and it makes content unpleasant to read. The safest approach is to write naturally and use this tool to check you have not repeated something unintentionally.

Why look at two and three-word phrases?

Because that is how people search. Single-word counts tell you little; seeing that "free image compressor" appears six times is far more informative than counting "image" alone.

What are stop words?

Common function words such as the, and, of and is. They dominate any frequency count without carrying meaning, so they are filtered out by default.
